Primer Tiempo

En los primeros minutos del primer tiempo Pumas empezo muy ofensivo presionando a Morelia desde la salida.  Pumas tenia todas sus lineas adelantadas y Morelia perdia muchos balones en el medio campo.  Al minuto 13 Dante Lopez se escapo en un pase filtrado y Vilar lo derribo en el area chica y Marco Antonio Rodriguez marco penal.  El penal fue convertido en gol al minuto 14 por Paco Palencia que la coloco en un lado.  Morelia desperto despues de ir perdiendo y se fue para enfrente, en una jugada, Sabah entro en el area chica y fue derribado por Veron en una clara falta y penal.  Pero Marco Antonio Rodriguez no marco penal y le saco la amarilla a Sabah.  En otra jugada similar, Palacios derribo a Sabah y esta vez si le cobraron penal, y fue el gol maracado por el ex Puma Jimmy Lozano al minuto 25.

Segundo Tiempo

 El segundo tiempo empezo muy anivelado, pero en el transcurso de los minutos la balanza se inclinaba mas al los Pumas.  Los dos equipos sabian que tenian que hacer goles para ganar el campeonato, y el juego se hizo muy abierto teniendo ambos equipos muchas oportunidades.  Pero el al minuto 32 Javier Cortez en una jugada dejo a unos cuantos jugadores de Morelia y se metio al area chica y convirtio el segundo gol de Pumas.  Morelia ya no pudo hacer nada en los minutos restantes, y el campeonato lo ganaron los Pumas, bien merecidamente,

First Half

Pumas started the game with a full offensive pressing against Morelia.  All their offensive and defensive lines were on a forward strategy that caused the players of Morelia to lose the ball in the mid field.  On a play, Dante Lopez was tripped by Vilar and Marco Antonio the referee called a pentalty kick.  Francisco Palencia converted the penalty kick into a goal on the 14th minute of the game.  This goal was the awakening call for Morelia because they started to push forward.  And on a play by Miguel Sabah, Dario Veron tripped him in the goal box, but Marco Antonio took that as a fake foul and gave a yellow card to Sabah.  Minutes later Palacios tripped Sabah once more in the goal box, except this time Marco Antonio did call for a penalty kick.  The ex Pumas player Jimmy Lozano converted the penalty into a goal on the 25th minute of the game.

Second Half

The second half started very leveled off by both sides.  Pumas showed a little bit of more offense, yet both teams knew that if they wanted to win the championship that they will need to push forward and score some goals.  That goal came by Javier Cortez on the 32nd minute of the game, were on a big play, he was able to leave some Morelia players on the side and access the goal box and score the second goal for Pumas.  Morelia wasn't able to do anything in the last remaining minutes, and Pumas won the championship

Morelia necesitaba nomas de dos goles para empatar la serie y calificar por estar mejor posicionado en la tabla general.  La tarea se oia muy dificil, pero todos sabiamos la capacidad del equipo de Tomas Boy.  El juego ofensivo que habia enseñado el Morelia durante el torneo regular nos decia de que hacer dos goles no seria problema para el Morelia.  El primer gol de Morelia fue por Marquez Lugo de cabeza al minuto 8, y despues en unos cuantos minutos mas, otra vez Marquez Lugo de sombrerito vencio a Corona para el 2-0.  Fue un golpe animico para al equipo de Cruz Azul ya que se miro mormado por todo el primer tiempo.  El juego de Cruz Azul no fue claro y perdia la pelota muy facil en el medio campo.  Por su parte Morelia dominaba y creaba mas opciones de gol.  En el segundo tiempo Morelia hizo el gol por el Jimmy Lozano, pero antes de eso, Joel Huiqui le tapo un remate a Cruz Azul letal, cabe decir de que dos ex Cruz Azuliños pararon y causaron el triunfo del Morelia.  El resultado global fue Morelia 3-2 Cruz Azul

Coming into the game, Morelia knew from the get go that they needed to score at least two goals to tie the series.  The tie will automatically give them the tie, since on the regular season they were at a higher position in points than Cruz Azul in the general competition.  Morelia was able to score the first goal at the 8th minute by a header of Marquez Lugo.  Two minutes later Marquez Lugo once more topped off the ball against Corona and scored the second goal.  Morelia showed us clear dominance over Cruz Azul the entire first half.  Those two goals shocked Cruz Azul and messed their mid-field game a lot.  Jimmy Lozano made the 3rd goal for Morelia, but just before that, two ex-players from Cruz Azul blocked and made the shot for Morelia.  Joel Huiqui and Jummi Lozano.  The aggregate score was Morelia 3-2 Cruz Azul

Pumas le gano al campeon Monterrey por 2-0, y esos dos goles le ayudaron a eliminarlo por mejor posicion en la tabla general.  Los goles de Pumas fueron por Velarde y por Fuentes.  El Monterrey no pudo, y avanzan los Pumas.

 

Morelia Vs America

Morelia le gano al America por 3-2.  El marcador global fue por 5-3.  Morelia le paso por encima al America y le quito las aspiraciones de un titulo.  Los goles del Morelia fueron por Marquez Lugo de penal, y dos de Rojas.  Los goles del America fueron por Reyes y Vouso.  Si el America hubiera jugado como empezo en los primeros 15 minutos del partido, la historia seria diferente, en esos 15 minutos el America le estaba apedreando el rancho al Morelia, pero despues se empezo a caer, y el Morelia tomo control y empezo a mober la pelota mas que el America, y al fin, los de Tomas Boy avanzan a semifinales.

Pumas defeated the current champion Monterrey 2-0.  The two goals were enough to eliminate Monterrey because Pumas was better situated on the general competition during the tournament.  Pumas advances and Monterrey stays on the way.

Morelia Vs America

Morelia defeated America 3-2.  The aggregate score was 5-3.  It was clear that Morelia beat America with no hard instances, except on the first 15 minutes of the game, because America kept power pressing Morelia's defense that would not react.  If America would of played the entire game like those first fifteen minutes, than maybe they would of won.  But after those minutes, Morelia was able to take full control of the game, Rojas scored twice and Marquez one for Morelia.  Reyez and Vuoso for America.

Chivas respectivamente empato contra Tigres en el Volcan 1-1.  Tigres tubo unas cuantas claras de gol, pero no se concretaron y el partido cambio cuando le expulsaron a su jugadorJuninho.  El gol de Tigres lo hizo Mancilla, y el gol de Chivas fue por la via de penal de Marco Fabian, que lo fallo pero en el contra golpe lo remato Hector Reynoso y hizo el gol.  Con este resultado el lider de la competencia otra vez esta fuera.

Cruz Azul por su parte hizo su juego en Cancun.  Llebava la Ventaja y supo mantener el zero.  Atlante fuy muy fuerte de local, y en el juego que importaba no pudo hacer lo que sabia hacer y meter goles.  Ahora el Cruz Azul una vez mas anda holiendo la gloria ya que esta a un juego de la final.  El Super Sub Campeonisimo esta a un juego.

Chivas tied 1-1 against Tigres at the Volcan Stadium.  Tigres wasn't able to overcome the two goal difference that they needed in order to advance to the next round.  They had a lot of clear shots and close ones, yet the goal didn't come in the early minutes.  Their player Juninho was ejected, and that basically changed the entire course of the game.  Mancilla was able to score, but with ten men, Tigres just couldn't.  Hector Reynoso scored the goal for chivas by a missed penalty kick from Marco Fabian who had originally missed the shot but on the rebound Reynoso was able to score.  Once more the curse of the general leader for the competition has once more been proven to be in effect, Tigres is out, and Chivas moves on.

Cruz Azul was able to play against Atlante at Cancun and maintain that one goal difference that they had originally had in the first game.  Atlante was one of the best teams locally, it was a top scorer during the league, yet on the game that it mattered the most, they didn't come through.  Now Cruz Azul will advance once more to the semi finals.  We will see if they have what it takes to finally become champions and not title runners.

El Morelia en forma de visitante le gano al America por 2-1.  Es importante decir de que le America no jugo en su estadio Azteca.  El juego se llevo acabo en el estadio Corregidora de Queretaro.  Lleno de publico de ambos lados, el America no pudo sacar ventaja en forma de local.  Fue superado por el Morelia en varias lineas y formas.  El Ataque del Morelia fue impresionate, llegaba por derecha y izquierda, no le falto mucho para que se hiciera presente en el marcador.  Y el primer tanto llego a forma de Perez, y en el segundo tiempo el gol lo hizo Rafael Marquez, y por el America el Dani Marquez que entro de cambio hizo gol.  Esto pone al America en grandes aprietos, ya que se va a tener que jugar la calificacion con dos goles abajo en el estadio Morelos este Domingo proximo.

Once again America was not able to use their habitual Azteca Stadium.  After losing to Santos FC just two days ago, they had to play once more at the Corregidora Stadium in Queretaro.  The opponent was Morelia, a fast pace team that kept winging in from the left and right side of the field.  America was real surpassed in class thought the entire first half.  Morelia was able to score in the first minutes of the game by Perez and in the second half by Rafael Marquez.  Daniel Marquez was the scorer for America.  Yet it wasn't enough to come out with a good result.  Now America will have to try to qualify at Morelos stadium next Sunday.

El Cruz Azul le gano al Atlante por 2-1.  Saca una minima ventaja para el juego de vuelta que se va a llevar a cabo en Cancun este Sabado.  El juego fue muy ofensivo por el Atlante, en forma de visitante vino y planto un juego para enfrente y no para quedar atras y a esperar.  Sorprendio al Cruz Azul ya que en los primeros minutos del juego Giancarlo Maldonado puso el uno a zero.  Cruz Azul reacciono en forma rapida y lo empato con gol del Chaco Gimenez.  En el segundo tiempo, en los primeros segundos en una falla de la defensiva atlantista, el Chaco Gimenez les puso el segundo gol.  Ya despues en el trascurso del juego, hubo una falta que para muchos fue inexistente, y el arbitro marco penal.  El Chaco Gimenez fallo el penal, ya que Moises Muños se lo tapo.  Y tambien en esa accion expulsaron al jugador del Atlante y se quedo con diez.  El Cruz Azul ya no pudo hacer mas, y se llevo la minima ventaja para jugar en Cancun.

Las Chivas sacaron un resultado de 3-1 al Tigres.  El resultado fue muy bien ya que la ventaja de goles es de dos, pero en casa Tigres nomas necesita hacer los dos para empatar y ganar.  El juego estubo muy abierto en ambos lados.  Cabe decir, de que a Tigres nomas le habian hecho nueve goles en todo el torneo.  Tenia un promedio de medio gol por partido.  Y este miercoles Chivas pudo hacerle tres.  Los goles de Chivas fueron por parte de Arellano a pase de Marco Fabian, y el segundo fue de Luna en un cabesazo en tiro de esquina, y el tercero vino de los pies de Marco Fabian de La Mora.  El gol de Tigres lo hizo Molina.  Esta ventaja le da buena vibra al Chivas, y una muy mala vibra al Tigres ya que es una maldicion ser superlider.  El jugador del partido fue Marco Fabian de La Mora.  El Juego de venida sera este sabado en el estadio Volcan.

Chivas defeated Tigres 3-1.  This result is very comfortable to Chivas, because now Tigres has a disadvantage of two goals.  In order for Tigres to qualify to the next round they are gonna have to win the game by two goals.  The game was very open for both, this let the game flow in an offensive flow for both.  Arellano scored by a pass from Marco Fabian de La Mora, and Luna scored from a header at a corner kick, and Marco Fabian de La Mora scored from a penalty kick.  For Tigres Molina was the one that headed the ball on a corner kick.  Marco Fabian de La Mora was the player of the game since he participated in two of the goals.  The second game will be this saturday at Volcan stadium.  The curse of the general leader of the competition is once more in full effect.

El Morelia saco un buen resultado en los ultimos diez minutos contra el equipo de Jaguares.  Anoto Rafael Marquez Lugo y el novato Angel Sepulveda Sanchez y por Jaguares anoto Hugo Sanchez.  Con este resultado Morelia llega a 27 puntos y se coloca en el segundo lugar de la tabla general.  Jaguares por su parte se quedo estancado en 11 puntos.

Nota : Miguel Sabah fue excluido del once inicial y fue remplazado por Luis Rey.  Pero Tomas Boy convoco a Angel Sepulveda Sanchez para que estubiera en la banca, despues de su ingreso al segundo tiempo, el fue el que hizo el gol de la victoria.

Morelia ended up with a good result in the last ten minutes against Jaguares. Rafael Marquez Lugo scored and the new rookie Angel Sepulveda Sanchez debuted also with a goal. For Jaguares the scorer was Hugo Sanchez. With this result Morelia reaches 27 points and is currently placed in the second position in the overall standings. Jaguares meanwhile stayed stuck at 11 points.

El Clasico Chivas Vs America (Cubo Torres, The Secret Weapon)

Once again the two biggest teams of Mexico will clash in the never ending battle for total claim supremacy of been the most popular team in Mexico.  Compared to last year’s game, both teams are equally even.  America has more momentum since they were able to defeat Argentinos Jr in the “Santander Copa Libertadores”.  While Chivas on the other hand, comes from a victory against Necaxa last Friday.  This game is very important to both because a win or loss can determine the outcome for the classification to the playoffs. 

“Never mind the points, this game is the biggest rivalry and it’s a must win for both.”

This game will be very interesting; especially since the young sensation Cubo Torres is determined to be the player to follow, he has been mentioned to be called next to the national team for Copa America.  As many call him, the next “chicharito”, expect America’s defenders to be in trouble chasing after this guy.

Una vez más, los dos equipos más grandes de México se enfrentarán en la batalla campal por supremacía total de ser el equipo más popular de México. En comparación con el juego del año pasado, ambos equipos tienen el mismo nivel. America viene de mejor momento, ya que fueron capaces de derrotar a Argentinos Jr en la "Copa Santander Libertadores". Mientras que Chivas por su parte, viene de una victoria contra el Necaxa el viernes pasado. Este juego es muy importante porque una victoria o derrota puede determinar el resultado de la clasificación a la liguilla.
