Xolos of Tijuana was making their first trip as a visitor to one of the most hardest stadiums of all Monterrey. But with the inclusion of their brand new players fresh of Copa America Dayron Moreno and Egidio Arevalo this was planting to be a good game. Specially since Arevalo was making its return to the land which Monterrey has the rights to as a player. Chupete Suazo was also back from Copa America and the game started of with a surprise because Tijuana was able to be up ahead on the game on a goal from Dayron Moreno from a pass from Arce. The second goal was made by Joe Corona, and Santana scored for Monterrey. So in the first half , the score was 2-1 and Tijuana was up. In the beginning of the second half Arce committed a foul on Santana and a penalty kick was called. This call was very controversial because it was defenetly the mood changer for the game. Luis Perez took the shot and tied the game for Monterrey. Then Walter Ayovi was able to score the 3-2 for Monterrey on a pass from Chupete Suazo and less then a minute later, Chelito Delgado scored the final 4-2 for Monterrey.
