El Manchester United tubo un fin de oportunidades de abrir el marcador en el primer tiempo. La estrella del partido es para el portero Neure que tapo varios disparos de los diablos rojos. Javier el Chicharito Hernandez empezo desde el arranque y tubo tansiquiera tres o cuatro disparos a gol que fueron bloqueados por el portero Neure. Schalke 04 no se pudo adaptar al juego ni en el primer ni en el segundo tiempo. Los goles llegaron por un pase de Wayne Rooney a Ryan Giggs y un pase de Javier el Chicharito Hernandez hacia Wayne Rooney. Todo esta servido para que el Manchester United pase a la final de La Champions League. Todavia falta un juego,pero ese juego va a ser en favor de Manchester ya que juegan en su casa.

Manchester United had lots of opportunities at scoring in the first half. Truly the best player of the game was Schalke 04 goalie, Neure which was unbeatable in the first half. Javier el Chicharito Hernandez was a starter in the lineup and he made sure his presence was felt during the first half. He had at least three or four shots but Neure blocked all of them. Schalke 04 was playing out of context the entire game, they were the local ones but yet could not get into rhythm. The goals came through in the second half by Ryan Giggs, assisted by Wayne Rooney, and the second goal came by Wayne Rooney assisted by Javier el Chicharito Hernandez. The win puts Manchester United real close at the Champions League final because they still gotta play home and the advantage is on their side.
