Despues de lo sucedido la semana pasada entre los equipos de la MLS al fin de poderle haber ganado a un equipo Mexicano como lo hiso el FC Dallas, pues ahora le toco el turno al Seattle Sounders de dar el campanaso al vencer al actual campeon de la Concacaf Liga de Campeones Concachampions Monterrey.  El Seattle Sounders saco los tres puntos en forma de visita jugando un juego muy defensivo y con un poco de suerte pero con un triunfo muy merecido ya que el Monterrey no tubo la definicion necesaria para empatar el juego ni menos para ganar.  El gol del Seattle Sounders llego en el minuto 37 del primer tiempo por un pase de Pat Noonan a Alvaro Fernandez.  Seattle tambien pudo sentenciar el juego en una jugada de Alonso donde tubo mucho tiempo para rematar pero quiso sacar al Jonathan Orozco y en ese pretiempo perdio la oportunidad de definir.  Por su parte el Monterrey puso a su delantera de lujo que es el Chupete Suazo y Aldo De Nigris porque no queria que le pasara lo mismo que el torneo pasado cuando Seattle lo tenia abajo en el marcador por 2-0.  Pero la historia se repitio pero esta vez el Monterrey no pudo remontar el marcador ya despues de varios intentos en el segundo tiempo.  El Monterrey tubo la pelota mas pero no pudo sacar el gol que le hubiera dado la diferencia, y el juego termino Monterrey 0-1 Seattle Sounders

A year ago Seattle Sounders had to face of against the current Concachampions League Title holder Monterrey.  That year, the sounders were up 2-0 and had a lot of people in complete shock.  This year Monterrey's coach took preventions and decided to play with it's entire team and not the reserves.  He had Chupete Suazo and Aldo de Nigris in the lineup, it was easy to tell that he didnt want the same story to repeat itself from last year.  Well the story did happen again, except that this time it became a reality as Seattle Sounders became the second MLS team and first to beat Monterrey at home.  Alvaro Fernandez was the scorer for this game on a pass from Pat Noonen.  Monterrey had the longest possesion of the ball but was not able to be precise on their definition.  And the Seattle Sounders shocked everyone as they walked away tonight with the three points.
