La liga de campeones Concacaf Champions League empezo este dia para los equipos de la MLS y para los equipos Hondureños.  El torneo empezo para el LA Galaxy y el Motagua de Honduras.  Un juego muy peleado en media cancha pero inclinado un poco en la balanza hacia el LA Galaxy.  En el primer tiempo el juego estubo bien disputado por las bandas pero el LA Galaxy fue el que mejor hiso las cosas al poder abrir el marcador por via de Cristman que a los doce minutos hiso el gol y los puso arriba 1-0.  En el comienzo del segundo tiempo Motagua salio con una mejor propuesta pero cuando todo parecia que Motagua alcanzaria el empate en dos ocaciones en una aunque era mano de Benson pero que pego en el trabesaño y otra del Pando Ramirez que se saco al defensor del LA Galaxy y remato pero al medio de las manos del portero.  Entonces fue cuando en una descolgada Beckham mando un pase largo y Donovan la bajo con el pecho y sentencio a Motagua poniendo el 2-0.  Y hasi termino el partido con el LA Galaxy haciendo lo que tenia que hacer para ganar los tres puntos, y a Motagua nomas le falto claridad en los pases, porque la propuesta estubo hay, nomas falto claridad.

The long journey to make it to the World Cup for Clubs started for the MLS teams and the Honduran teams.  LA Galaxy faced off at home against one of Honduras great teams, Motagua.  The game started really well fought by both teams on the sidelines but it was LA Galaxy who struck first.  At the 12 minute of the game they were able to go up in the score board by a goal from Cristman.  Motagua kept fighting by displaying an offensive game play, yet they lacked precision and that something LA Galaxy was up balancing them at.  On the second half Motagua started playing really well, it seemed as if they would get the tie because they had a couple of approximations that were real dangerous, Pando Ramirez was able to shake off a LA Galaxy defender but shot right to the middle and LA Galaxy goalie was able to block the shot easily.  Guerrero from Motagua received a red card and Motagua was left with 10 men.  And right when Motagua was doing its best, Landon Donovan was able to score the second goal on a long pass from David Beckham.  And thats how the game ended LA Galaxy 2-0 Motagua.  The LA Galaxy get their first three points and Motagua with more precision next time is bound to give any team a hard time.
